Hi, I’m Kathleen Shawberry, founder and lead designer at Curate Interiors. My journey in design began as a child, collecting fascinating treasures - driftwood, stones, quirky hardware - that sparked my imagination. I’ve always been a maker at heart, driven by creativity in everything I do. I see beauty in everyday details and believe thoughtfully curated spaces enrich our lives.
A Creative Path Across Disciplines
After starting in interior design studies, I shifted to fashion—spending seven inspiring years as a textile designer. That experience deepened my love for pattern, color, and texture, vital elements in every Curate Interiors project. I later explored graphic design, marketing, metalsmithing, and painting - all while continuing to design interiors. This varied artistic background gives me a unique, layered perspective on each project.

Interior design isn’t just my profession - it’s my gift and purpose. I launched Curate Interiors to help clients transform their homes into spaces that reflect their personalities and foster meaningful connections. Inspired by art, nature, and human stories, I craft spaces that feel balanced, vibrant, and deeply personal.
